Explore your diverse interests, find a unique community.
Registered Student Organizations are comprised of over 1,200 diverse groups, which are organized primarily for students and by students of the UC Berkeley campus. From the Mock Trial team to the Ballet Company and from Hiking to Pre-Law, these organizations represent the variety of options available for student involvement. Advisers provide support and resources to 15 unique interest areas:
Finding an organization using CalLink:
CalLink is our interactive student organization portal that allows you to create a profile and connect with the organizations and events at Cal. Students can browse by category, search by keyword, or get personalized recommendations based upon your interests.
The Blue Heart Initiative
The Blue Heart Initiative is a feature on CalLink identifying registered student organizations that are classified as ‘open membership.’ These organizations may require a form to record demonstrated interest, but there is no formal application to be accepted into the organization. A blue heart [💙] placed next to the organization’s name on CalLink indicates they meet this requirement and opted-in to this feature. Look for this blue heart as you explore organizations to join.
Student Tabling on Sproul Plaza:
The Student Tabling Program is a daily opportunity to meet various student organizations on campus. Throughout the semester, organizations set up tables to share information and connect with others who pass through Sproul Plaza. For more information, read our FAQs.
Student Tabling hours: Every day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Upper Sproul.
Finding an Organization at Calapalooza:
Calapalooza is the bi-annual student involvement fair during the first two weeks of each semester where you can browse and interact with nearly 500 Registered Student Groups and Organizations. This is your chance to learn all about these student groups and organizations, ask questions, and even join one, if you’re ready. Find the list of participating groups and organizations and see where they are tabling over on the Calapalooza page.
Interested in starting your own Student Org?
