The purpose of this program is to establish a partnership between the UC Berkeley Career Center, in collaboration with The Organization Advising & Student Involvement Services (OASIS), that helps student organizations connect with employers, increase career readiness competencies and support professional development.   

Benefits

Increased Campus Presence/ Brand- stand out from the 1200+ student orgs to become more visible on campus. SOPP members will be featured on Career Center website and social media, 

You will receive marketing support of your career or Graduate School related club events posted on Handshake (advance notice required). 

Employer Engagement- SOPP members are recommended to employers who are seeking engagement opportunities with UC Berkeley students. Additionally, SOPP members will have the opportunity to develop employer relationships through insider access to pre-career fair/career connections engagements and other SOPP-exclusive events (panels, workshops, etc.)  throughout the academic year. 

Career Readiness- SOPP members will strengthen their leadership skills, communication skills, professionalism, and other career readiness skills in line with NACE competencies by working with employers and career center staff members (e,g. Moderating a career connections panel). SOPP members will be recommended to work with counselors for targeted programs.
