Project Coordinator/Graduate Assistant for bridges Multicultural Resource Center
Maxine Dimalanta is excited to join the bridges team as the Project Coordinator/Graduate Assistant! Born and raised on Ohlone land, Maxine attended WCCUSD schools and experienced Berkeley time & education as a form of empowerment as a high school student with Cal’s EAOP. The April sunshine and the Kababayan Pilipinx Weekend for Admits (KaPWA) convinced her to enroll at UCLA, where she pursued her B.A. in Education & Social Transformation. Maxine was involved in UCLA’s student-initiated programs as a high school advisor, undergraduate peer counselor, and a student leader. Maxine received unwavering support from her mentors from her time in college access programs, student-initiated spaces, cultural Greek life, and student success organizations, which led to her pursuit of her master’s degree. Now living in Manahatta of Lenapehoking, she is studying Higher & Postsecondary Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Despite the time difference, Maxine can’t wait to connect with you all.
